EV charger installation for your home or business
Make charging part of your everyday routine. Home Innovations plans EV charger installations across Dallas–Fort Worth around your vehicle, parking space and electrical system.
Estimated project range
Level 2 EV charger installation
An estimated installation range for a residential Level 2 charging project. The final quote is based on your charger, electrical system and installation route.
Request a project-specific quote →Plan the complete scope
- Review of the proposed charger and electrical supply
- The agreed charging circuit, mounting and connection work
- A written scope identifying equipment supply and project coordination
What is included, and what can change the price?
Charger supply, permits and any added panel work will be identified in the estimate. Longer routes, trenching, difficult access or service upgrades can increase the total beyond this range. Commercial and multi-charger projects are quoted individually.
Your written estimate confirms the final price and included work before scheduling. This range is a planning guide, not a fixed quote for every property.
Explore your charging options
Start with the vehicle you drive and where it will park. If you already own a charger, share the exact model. If you are still comparing equipment, we can review the electrical side of the installation before you make a purchase.
A hardwired unit is connected directly to its circuit. A receptacle setup uses compatible plug-in charging equipment. The right scope depends on the charger, location, existing system and installation requirements.
Tesla Wall Connector installation
Plan a wall-mounted charging location around where you park and how the cable will reach your vehicle. Share the charger model, panel location and preferred mounting spot. We review the available electrical capacity, circuit route and installation conditions before preparing the scope.
Tesla Universal Wall Connector
If you are considering a Universal Wall Connector, send the exact product information and the vehicles you intend to charge. We can review the location, electrical supply and proposed installation. Equipment compatibility and configuration should be confirmed for the specific vehicles and charger.
Level 2 home charging
We install compatible residential charging equipment for a range of EVs. Tell us whether you already own the charger or are comparing options. The review includes your electrical panel, distance to the parking area, wall access and the equipment manufacturer’s installation requirements.
NEMA 14-50 and EV outlets
A receptacle-based charging setup needs an outlet and circuit suited to the specific equipment and location. Send the mobile charging equipment details before purchasing materials. We review the existing circuit or proposed new run and discuss whether a receptacle or hardwired installation is appropriate for the project.
Dedicated EV charging circuits
A dedicated circuit connects the charging equipment to an appropriate electrical supply. Distance, routing, panel capacity and indoor or outdoor conditions all affect the work. We define the wiring route and related electrical changes after reviewing the property and charger specifications.
EV-ready wiring and multiple vehicles
Planning a remodel, a new garage or a second EV? Share the expected parking layout and equipment plans early. We can review wiring provisions and the electrical demands of the proposed chargers so the installation can be coordinated with the rest of the project.
Charger troubleshooting and relocation
For a charging issue, send the model, any displayed error and a description of what changed. We review the electrical supply and installation within the service scope; equipment faults may also require the manufacturer. For relocation, we assess the new position, circuit route and existing equipment condition.
Charging for a business or shared property
Business charging starts with questions about who will use it, access to parking and the number of proposed charging spaces. Property ownership, equipment choice and electrical capacity need to be reviewed together. See our commercial page for the information that helps us evaluate a project.
What the installation review covers
A useful proposal explains how the charger will fit your property. We review the equipment and conditions before defining the installation.
- Vehicle and charger compatibility, model and installation requirements
- Electrical panel location, available capacity and proposed circuit
- Cable reach, parking position and the mounting location
- Wiring route, distance and access through the property
- Indoor or outdoor conditions and any surface restoration needs
- Equipment setup, project coordination and any required inspections
For connected equipment, ask what setup and customer handover are included. Keep the manufacturer’s equipment information available when discussing the work.
If electrical capacity is a concern, the next step is a review of the loads and suitable options. Some charging systems support power management; availability and added equipment depend on the selected product and property.
What affects the installation cost?
The charger is only one part of the project. Installation estimates depend on how the equipment connects to the electrical system and what work is needed along the way.
The route
Distance from the panel, access, wall construction and any trenching or exterior work affect the scope.
The electrical system
The proposal may include a new circuit, related corrections or additional panel and service work after review.
The equipment
Identify who supplies the charger and which mounting, control or other accessories are included.
Ask the estimate to separate included work from possible additions. A price should reflect the property and charger being installed, rather than assume every garage needs the same work.
Prepare for your EV project
Share these details with your request to help us understand the installation:
- Service address and whether you own or manage the property
- Vehicle make and model, plus the charger model if selected
- Usual parking position and desired charger location
- Location of the electrical panel and any known electrical concerns
- Plans for another EV, new appliances or a future remodel
- Preferred timing and any access restrictions
Existing plans and readily accessible exterior views of the equipment can help. Leave electrical covers in place. We will confirm which conditions require an on-site review.
EV installation questions
Should I buy the charger before requesting an estimate?
You can contact us at either stage. If you have selected equipment, send the exact model. If you are comparing options, discussing the installation first can help identify the electrical work and location considerations.
Will I need a panel upgrade?
Not every EV installation requires one. The existing loads, charging equipment and available capacity need to be reviewed. The proposal should explain any panel work being recommended.
Can I use an outlet already in the garage?
An existing outlet needs to be evaluated for the charging equipment and intended use. Its appearance alone does not confirm that the circuit and installation are suitable.
Can the charger be installed outdoors?
That depends on the equipment’s rating and the proposed location. Share the model and parking layout so mounting, routing and environmental conditions can be reviewed.
Can you plan for two vehicles?
Yes. Tell us about both vehicles, parking positions and when you expect to charge. Equipment choice and any supported power management features need to be considered together.
How long will the installation take?
Timing depends on access, circuit routing, equipment availability and any additional electrical or approval work. We confirm the proposed schedule after reviewing the scope.
